The Salah El Din Citadel is a mediaeval Islamic fortification built in the 12th century by the Ayyubid ruler Salah al-Din to protect Cairo from invasions. The citadel covers an area of around 40 hectares and contains several historical buildings, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, the Al-Gawhara Palace, and the Military Museum. The citadel also offers a panoramic view of Cairo and the Nile River.

The next spiritual spot is the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, a 19th century Ottoman-style Mosque. It was built by Muhammad Ali Pasha, the Ottoman ruler of Egypt, between 1828 and 1848 as a symbol of his power. The mosque is known for its unique architecture and is made entirely of white alabaster, which gives it a distinctive appearance.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is a modern museum that was established in 2002 and is dedicated to showcasing the history and civilization of ancient Egypt. The museum has a collection of over 43,000 artifacts that cover the period from the pre-dynastic era to the Islamic period and are displayed in chronological order. The bazaar dates back to the 14th century, and it was originally built to serve the needs of the neighboring Al-Azhar University, one of the oldest universities in the world. It has since grown to become one of the largest and most famous bazaars in the Middle East, with narrow, winding streets and alleys lined with shops selling everything from traditional Egyptian souvenirs and textiles to spices, jewelry, and antiques.
