The Saqqara Step Pyramid is a stepped pyramid located in the Saqqara necropolis, near Cairo, Egypt. It is the oldest known pyramid in Egypt, built during the reign of the pharaoh Djoser (2667-2648 BC) by his vizier Imhotep. The pyramid originally stood 62 meters (203 feet) tall and was clad in polished white limestone.

The Dahshur pyramids are a group of ancient Egyptian pyramids located in the royal necropolis of Dahshur, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo. The most famous of the Dahshur pyramids is the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid.
