This High Dam is a large dam located in Aswan, Egypt. It was built between 1960 and 1970 across the Nile River with the purpose of providing irrigation and hydroelectric power to the country. The dam created Lake Nasser, a large artificial lake that provides water for agriculture and supports the generation of electricity through hydroelectric power.
It is an ancient Egyptian stone obelisk located in the northern region of the stone quarries of Aswan, Egypt. The obelisk, which is approximately 42 meters in length and would have weighed an estimated 1,200 tons, was carved from a single piece of granite. It is believed to have been abandoned during its creation due to cracks that appeared in the stone.
