The Aswan High Dam is a large dam located on the Nile River in southern Egypt, near the city of Aswan. The dam was constructed between 1960 and 1970 as a joint project between Egypt and the Soviet Union, with the aim of controlling the flooding of the Nile, generating hydroelectric power, and increasing agricultural productivity in the region. The dam is over 3.8 kilometers long and 111 metres high, and it can hold up to 169 billion cubic metres of water. The creation of Lake Nasser, the reservoir formed behind the dam, required the relocation of over 100,000 people and the flooding of numerous archaeological sites, including the temple complex of Abu Simbel.

The Unfinished Obelisk is an ancient Egyptian monument located in the northern region of the stone quarries in Aswan. It was left unfinished due to a crack that appeared during its construction, providing valuable insights into the techniques used by ancient Egyptians to carve obelisks. After this magastic 2 day tour we will drop you back at your hotel in Marsa Alam.

Philae Temple is an ancient Egyptian temple complex located on an island in the Nile River near the city of Aswan, in southern Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis, who was one of the most important deities in the ancient Egyptian pantheon. The temple complex was originally built during the Ptolemaic Dynasty, around 380-362 BC, but it was later expanded and modified by various pharaohs, including the Roman emperor Augustus. The temple was in use until the 6th century AD, when it was closed by the Byzantine Empire and later abandoned.
