Between the 1st and 30th dynasties, the Abydos temple and its associated entrance to Osiris were constructed. The Abydos king list, a chronological list of Pharaohs from Menes to Ramses I, is one of the most unusual objects.

This temple is one of the best preserved in all of Egypt. It is well-known for housing the Dendera Zodiac, the Dendera light, and several other beautiful paintings and embellishments.
