Highlights
This 5-hour tour will take you to Hurghada's busy district. The Mosque is a great spot to see Egyptian style done traditionally. Walk through souks and discover local shops in the old town, where you can also find a fish market. From the time of the pharaohs, Egyptians have always created beautiful and significant pieces for the living as well as the dead. Their skills were handed down from master to master through the generations. From the time of the Greeks and Romans to the time of the Copts and the Muslims, Egypt's crafts have changed over time. Egypt now has a lot of different crafts to choose from because old skills have been kept alive and new ones have been added. In the past, Egyptian families made a good amount of money from these crafts. Because they are in danger of going out of date, this project aims to protect them as cultural assets and sources of income. The tour also includes a stop at the Pharaonic Papyrus Museum.

As an experience, Hurghada City Tour & Shopping Stop was truly enriching. Going around the world’s biggest museum that deals with Egyptian crafts brought out ancient Egyptian craftsmanship quite vividly. The tour made us appreciate different handicrafts from different parts of Egypt where we had an opportunity to see how things were done at these places.
I had such an awesome time on my Hurghada City Tour & Shopping Stop. There were some impressive Egyptian handicrafts in this museum which gave me insight into ancient crafting practices in Egypt. It was enlightening learning about different governorates through their unique crafts although discovering ancient Egyptian techniques of production added flavor to all these experiences.
